3344667 - SAP Workzone - delete selected workpages are not getting deleted

Symptom

When attempting to deleted the work pages from the admin area, it states it has been completed successfully. However, upon checking, the pages are still present. 

Getting message "The delete completed, however some files were skipped. Workpage 'XXX' is referenced by the menu. Remove the reference before deletion" when trying to delete a work page

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the content of the homepage in the administrator console
  2. Select the work pages you wish to delete
  3. Select the 3 dots
  4. Click on delete selected items
  5. See message Operation Completed successfully.
  6. Notice how selected work pages have not been deleted.

OR 

  1. Go to the content of the homepage in the administrator console
  2. Select the work page you wish to delete
  3. Select the delete icon
  4. Click on delete selected items
  5. See message "The delete completed, however some files were skipped. Workpage 'XXX' is referenced by the menu. Remove the reference before deletion"
  6. Notice how selected work pages have not been deleted.

Cause

  • The workpage/(s) you are trying to delete are linked in another area (menu) and is preventing the deletion of the pages.
  • The folder is indeed deleted, but the folder is locked. (If the above solution doesn't work, open a ticket on LOD-SF-SWZ, providing the folder path and support access)

Resolution

Delete any references of this work page and you will be able to proceed with the deletion of the page.
