Symptom

  • $SYBASE/interfaces is an empty zero-length file
  • ISQL (and other ct-lib based clients) fail to connect with error message
    CT-LIBRARY error:
            ct_connect(): directory service layer: internal directory control layer error: Requested server name not found.
