3345433 - DB2 column comment is not reverse engineered via script - SAP PD

Symptom

  • When reverse engineering via script, the column comment syntax is ignored when it is in the following format:

    COMMENT ON SCHEMA.TABLE (
          COLUMN1 IS 'Comment on column1',
          COLUMN2 IS 'Comment on column2',
          COLUMN3 IS 'Comment on column3'
    );
  • This syntax is supported by IBM DB2 from (UDB & LUW) 9.7 up to 11.5.
