Symptom

  • sap_status path shows that HADR is working properly  
  • Fault Manager status shows db host status: Unusable

    node 1: server hostname1, site SITE1.
    db host status: UNUSABLE.
    db status OK hadr status PRIMARY.
    node 2: server hostname2, site SITE2.
    db host status: UNUSABLE.
    db status OK hadr status STANDBY.
    replication status: SYNC_OK.
    failover prerequisites fulfilled: NO. 

  • FM log shows:
    • connection to database ok but heartbeat not received for node 0.
    • connection to database ok but heartbeat not received for node 1.
