3347437 - Importing nested zip files - "A nested zip file detected on the file zip" error

When importing nested zip files, the system may return "A nested zip file detected on the file zip file name.zip. Uploading a zip file within a zip file is not allowed.".

"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."

The anti-virus scan check for nested zip files is applied for files smaller than 10MB. The smaller nested zip files will go through the anti-virus scan, and if no viruses are found, then they can be uploaded. The larger nested zip files are not allowed and will not be processed.

There are two options to proceed:

1. Modify the zip file contents until it is under 10MB.
2. Modify the zip file content, so that nested zip files are not utilized.

Note: Modifying file contents can cause issues if certain file structures are required such as for AICC/SCORM courses. It is outside of the SAP Support scope to assist with altering 3rd party files. Please, work with your vendor for assistance.
