3347964 - Dump During Confirmation of Make Task XYZ

Dump During Confirmation of Make Task XYZ(where XYZ is the Make Task ID).

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Production Control workcenter and Task Control view.

2. Find  and Select Make Task XYZ and Confirm.

You will encounter a dump.

The issue here is with the UoM discrepancy of service ( Make Task XYZ->Confirmations -> Activities -> Services sub tab).
 

When the task is confirmed in one UoM, the resource and service utilization calculated for this output quantity is in different UoM.
 

This is due to the calculation method maintained in the resource master (Equal to resource utilization, you can check it in Resource > Services tab).
 

However, the UoM of the Service ABC(where ABC is the Service ID) is different and there is no conversion maintained between both UoMs, which results in this issue.
 

Example:
 

When the task is confirmed with 1 MT, the resource and service utilization calculated for this output quantity is in EA this is due to the calculation method
 

maintained in the resource master (Equal to resource utilization).
 

However, the UoM of the service is EA and there is no conversion maintained between EA and MT, which results in this issue.
 

You have 2 solutions:
1. Maintain the Base UoM of the Service ID ABC same as the UoM of the output product.
OR
2. Maintain the Quantity Conversions  in  Service Id ABC.
