3348764 - Difference Between Multi-Level Structure View And Multi-Level Visualization View of Production Bill of Materials

You want to understand the difference between Multi-Level Structure view and Multi-Level Visualization view of Production Bill of Materials.

1. Go to Planning and Production Master Data work center. 
2. Navigate to the Production Bills of Materials view. 
3. Search and select the BoM with multiple levels. In customer system the ID - <BOM_ID>. 
4. You can see two buttons <Multi-Level Structure> and <Multi-Level Visualization>. 

The customer wants to understand what is the difference between two of these buttons.  <BOM_ID> is the example for Bill of Material ID. 

A summery of explanation of difference between Multi-Level Structure view and Multi-Level Visualization view of Production Bill of Materials is below.  

• Multi-Level Structure: It enables you to review and print the Multi-level Hierarchy for the selected BOM variant.
• Multi-Level BoM Visualization:  Here there is no Print option. You can navigate to all the levels in the hierarchy.
  • You can also view the hierarchy in Top Down or Bottom Up views.
    • Top-Down View:
      • Here for any entered product, the underlying input products and there sub-underlying input products are displayed as per the hierarchy entered. 
    • Bottom-Up View:
      • Here for any entered product, the products in which it is used as an input product is displayed.
