3348790 - Serial Number ABCDEF Does Not Exist In Inventory Displayed In 3PL Inventory Notification

While trying to remove serial number <ABCDEF> from inventory notification : <1234> you get the above mentioned error message. <ABCDEF> and <1234> are examples of Inventory notification ID and Serial number.

SAP Business ByDesign. 

1. Go to Third-Party Logistics work center. 
2. Navigate to the Inventory Notifications view. 
3. Search for the notification with id - <1234> select it and choose the Edit button. 
4. Navigate to Line items tab, select the sub-tab Serial Number 
5. Select the serial number <ABCDEF> choose the Remove button. 

We receive the error message <Serial number ABCDEF does not exist in inventory>. Here <ABCDEF> and <1234> are examples of Inventory notification ID and Serial number.

You can still remove the serial numbers from the document. As the document is Inventory adjustment, the system will display errors based on the availability of serial numbers. You can continue to remove the serial numbers. 

You can remove serial numbers by following below steps. 

1. Go to Third-Party Logistics work center. 
2. Navigate to the Inventory Notifications view. 
3. Search for the notification with id - <1234> select it and choose the Edit button. 
4. Navigate to Line items tab, select the sub-tab Serial Number 
5. Choose the Check button to check consistency of the document. 
6. You will receive error message. 
7. Ignore the error messages, navigate to the Serial Number tab. 
8. Select a serial number,  choose the Remove button.
9. Keep removing the serial numbers you want to remove from the document. 
10. Once you have removed all the documents, choose Save button. 

The system will keep displaying the error messages but you can choose to ignore the messages and continue removing the serial numbers from the document.
