Symptom

SAP SuccessFactors Time Sheet and Time Tracking support for Contingent Workers.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Time Sheet
  • SAP SuccessFactors Time Tracking

Resolution

Contingent workers are supported in Time Sheet/Time Tracking module. 

Prerequisite: a time recording profile needs to be assigned to use Time Sheet UI and Time Sheet functionalities

Below limitations should be considered:

  1. Time Information Fields: When creating contingent workers in Employee Central via the 'Add Contingent Worker Wizard', Time Information fields will not be available.
    Workaround: Time information needs to be added manually via the Job History UI.

  2. Time Portlet: Contingent workers do not have the Time portlet on the profile.
    Workaround: They need to access the Time Sheet via Quick Action.

**Recommendation:** Please ensure to validate these workarounds in your testing to confirm they meet your business needs.
