3349351 - CPQ-VC: Conflicts not showing in CPQ

Symptom

When testing configuration that contains a conflict, no message is being shown in CPQ. 

Environment

SAP Sales Cloud CPQ Integrated with Variant Configuration

Cause

  • As informed in "Variant Configuration Integration: Technical Overview" Help Article:
    The conflict explanation is maintained in SAP Variant Configuration and Pricing. If no explanation is provided, the conflict name is displayed instead
  • If there is no name or explanation provided, CPQ will not show conflict tab on Configurator.

Resolution

  • It is only possible to maintain conflicts for LO-VC products in the integrated scenario, AVC is not supported
  • To CPQ show conflict in Conflict Tab during configuration of the product, it is mandatory to conflict have Name or Explanation being maintained in S4 and replicated to CPS
  • Conflict Configuration should be reviewed in order to be properly shown in CPQ.
