There is no automatic notification sent to Admin's email address.

Previously in a stand alone LMS tenant, Admin email address is used to receive password reset email. Now in an Integrated tenant, Admin doesn't need to reset LMS password anymore.

Another usage is to use the admin's email address as the sender address. 
The configuration can be found in System Administration >Configuration > Global Application Settings > Mail > Send email notification from > select 'Admin'
