How does the Rating Description (Locale Specific) field value update in Ad Hoc Report when the rating scale is changed after form launch?

Modifying the rating scale after form launch is not recommended as it can cause discrepancies in Ad Hoc Reports. Although the rating label on the live form remains unaffected by the change, the rating label in Ad Hoc reports is impacted. Therefore, when accessing a rating scale linked to an existing form, a warning message appears stating that any changes made to the rating scale can cause discrepancies when generating Ad Hoc reports.

However, if the rating label needs to be updated based on business requirements, we need to understand the behaviors in Ad Hoc Reports.

1. When the default rating label (usually English US) is changed, the Rating Description (Locale Specific) field cannot fetch the current corresponding label translation in Ad Hoc Reports. As a result, the old default rating label will be pulled.

2. If there is no change in the default rating label, but the language-specific rating label is updated, the Rating Description (Locale Specific) field will pull the newly modified rating label for that language.
