3349674 - Meaning of Integration Center Authentication Type "None"

You select one Integration Center job with REST Server settings in the Destination tab and you can see that Authentication Type is set to "None" from the drop down menu.

You would like to know what does it mean and whether its safe method to use.

  • SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite
  • Integration Center

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Integration Center
  2. Select an Integration Center job with REST server settings in the Destination settings tab,
  3. You can see "Authentication Type: None" or if you click on drop down
  4. You can select "None" from the drop down menu

If you have None as Authentication Type, it indicates that no authentication is required for your endpoint services.

The integration will work fine with Authentication Type: None

However, we strongly recommend to use at least basic authentication for enhanced security.
