3349753 - Unable to delete logistics Area in Location Hierarchy

You want to delete the logistics area in location hierarchy however delete option is grayed out

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Supply Chain Design Master data work center
2. Go to Locations view and find required location ID.
3. Edit and go to edit layout.
4. Select required logistics area which needs to be deleted.
5. Here delete option is disabled/grayed out.

Since required Logistics area is already Active hence delete button is disabled.

Once a Logistics area is activated for a planning area/site in a location hierarchy, it is not possible to remove it or make it inactive.

If the status is still "In Preparation" then it is possible to delete the logistics area from the hierarchy.

For Active logistics areas, user must mark the unwanted logistics area as Blocked/ Obsolete in the hierarchy.

This is an expected behavior.

Note : Once the mater data is created and status is Active, it is not possible to delete the data in the system.
