3349790 - Date of Birth field is read-only or grayed out in the Account screen

In Account Management, Account's Date Of Birth field is Read-Only or hidden.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Open Account Management work center - Accounts view.
2. Highlight an account and Edit - General tab.
3. In Details section you will see Date Of Birth field. For some accounts this is editable, for others it can be Read Only, and in some cases it is grayed out.

The Date of Birth is Read Only in the Account when the Account is also a Service Agent.

If a Business Partner is both an Account and Employee then we cannot see data in account screen for certain fields due to employee sensitive information. This behavior is due to the data protection and sensitivity of employee personal data.

Review or maintain data for Date of Birth field in Service Agent and/or Employee Data.
