3349892 - Compensation information not updating pay component using rule when manager update or approve the same - CS1H2023


While updating compensation information, the system will not create any pay component created via business rule, if the manager does not have edit permission for pay component. User should have "Create or Delete Pay Components Using Business Rules Without Additional Permission Check ". Manager has permission still it does not create the same.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login as Manager
  2. Update compensation information
  3. Update any pay component. Based on business rule, system should create new pay component
  4. Click on save and workflow will be raised
  5. On final Approval system do not create new pay component based on Rule


Before Centralized Services there was no validation on Pay Component permission. After Centralized Services, system checks if the user has edit permission for the pay component.


Engineering team is planning to fix this issue in 2H 2023 (b2311) release in preview environment on 20th Oct 2023 and in production environment on 17th Nov 2023


  • Go to company system and logo settings
  • Uncheck "Enable Centralized Services to Save Changes on the Manager Self-Service UI for Change Job and Compensation Info " and Save.
