3349894 - Can we keep using the Old CPQ Environment URLs?

Symptom

You are looking for guidance on the new tenant URLs and would also like to know if the old environment URLs can still be used.
Or that, post the SAP CPQ 2308 release, you can no longer log into CPQ and are receiving error message indicating that forbidden URL is used to log in to SAP CPQ, with instruction to use specified tenant URL.

Reproducing the Issue

You attempt to log in to SAP CPQ application by using (now deprecated) environment URL, username, password and tenant name combination.
You see an error message where it will be stated that accessing the SAP CPQ application through environment URL is no longer possible and tenant URL must be used.
Or, if log in credentials are correct, the error message will contain the tenant URL associated with tenant customer attempted to access.

Cause

As announced several months in advance (through multiple Release Note announcements, latest being SAP CPQ 2308 major Release Notes document) and with several communication notes being dispatched to all SAP CPQ customers, SAP CPQ will force tenant URL activation for all Non-Production environments as part of SAP CPQ 2308 major release.

Resolution

SAP CPQ Support team will grant extension period to customers, allowing them two weeks period to switch from using legacy environment URL's to tenant URL's.
Extension period for Non-Production environments ends on August 19th 2023 and for Production on September 2nd 2023.
During extension period customer can use both legacy environment URL and tenant URL.
During two week extension period customers must adjust their implementations according to official SAP CPQ help article dedicated to Tenant URL migration.
