Symptom
When running a reporting on imported goals, the goal weight column in the report contains value that is different from the imported value.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Goal Management
Reproducing the Issue
- Prepare a csv file for importing goals
- In the goal weight column, type in "29%" for a goal
- Import goals by uploading the csv file
- Go to Reporting and report on the imported goals
- The goal weight corresponding to "29%" shows 28.9999 instead of 29
Cause
When importing goals with "%" added to the goal weight column, the data will go through hex conversion which may cause the numbers to reflect different results from what were originally imported. Usually, the data will appear as non-recurring or recuring decimals.
Resolution
Do not add "%" in the goal weight column when importing goals. Simply type in the number.
For example, if the goal weight of a goal is 29%, you only need to type 29 in the goal weight column. There's no need to convert it into 0.29 either.
