Symptom

When install AO, below error are showed in NwSapSetup.log:

Failed to save link file: Aborting link file installation. Shortcut target C:\Program Files\SAP BusinessObjects\Office AddIn\BiOfficeLauncher.exe does not exist. Error message: The system cannot find the file specified. Error code 0x00000002 (2).

While processing Component '$Cofx64Shortcut' with Id 'xxxx' 2 error(s) have been registered.
Return-Code: 144

Reproducing the Issue

Install AO.

Resolution

1.Run these two commands one after another by an user with windows administrative privileges:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\SAPsetup\Setup\NwSapSetup.exe" /product:SapCofx64
"C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\SAPsetup\Setup\NwSapSetup.exe" /product:SapCof

2.Run the 64bit installer, for example AOFFICE28SP18_0-70004973.EXE, once more.
3.If the installation has not succeeded, please run NwCheckWorkstation.exe once more and provide the newest cabinet file named SapCheckWksta...cab generated by the tool for further analysis.
