3350791 - Fail to add two measures into the table in SAC Analytics Cloud (SAC) with error [Caught exception : exception 42018: Internal error occurred while processing : Input name or alias already used:]

Symptom

  • In a table with both accounts and measures, two measures can be displayed separately, but cannot be displayed together.
  • When adding both of them as measures, see error:  [Caught exception : exception 42018: Internal error occurred while processing : Input name or alias already used:].

 

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud 2023.8.14 (SAC)

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a table and add accounts.
  2. Select measure A, and see the related data can be displayed in the table.
  3. Select measure B, and see the related data can be displayed in the table, too.
  4. Select both A and B as measures, but see no data can be displayed with error message: [Caught exception : exception 42018: Internal error occurred while processing : Input name or alias already used:] .

Cause

This is an issue from data source.

Resolution

The issue has been fixed by upgrading to HANA EPPMDS Version 2.00.202316.07.
