3351154 - Labor Resource Issue Even Though the Labor Resource Is Maintained While Approving the Time

Symptom

The Labor resources of the employees are maintained still getting the labor resource error while approving the time.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Personnel Administration work center
  2. Go to Employees view
  3. Search for the Employee ID XYZ
  4. Click Edit
  5. Check the Job

Observe the below details:

Job, Validity and RLU details

  1. Go to the Cost and Revenue work center.
  2. Access the Master Data view.
  3. Access the Resources subview.
  4. Search for the relevant job.
  5. Select and click the Edit button.
  6. Go to the Valuation tab.
  7. In the Job Assignment section, the job ABC is not assigned.

Cause

The Employee ABC belongs to cost center XXX and assigned to job YYY. (XXX represents the ID of cost center and YYY represents the ID of a job)

However, there is no labor resource created with the Cost Center and Job assignment, therefore, the error is triggered.

Resolution

  1. Go to the Cost and Revenue work center.
  2. Choose the Resources view.
  3. Select the Resources sub-view.
  4. Click New to create a new labor resources.
  5. Maintain the basic information in the General tab, go to the Valuation tab.
  6. in the Cost Center Assignment table, click Add Row, enter the validity period and maintain Cost Center as XXX.
  7. In the Job Assignment table, click Add Row, enter the validity period and maintain the Job as YYY.
  8. Save and change status to Active.
