3351869 - How to update existing Emergency contact via Import Employee Data?

Symptom

There is an existing Emergency contact with name "Test" and relationship "Child", however, there is some wrong value shows in other fields. How to update it via Import Employee Data<Emergency Contact?

  • Import Employee Data

Resolution

"name" and "relationship" fields are the key values to locate whether the contact person is existing in Emergency Contact or not.

Thus,

  • If "name" and "relationship" fields need to be changed, system will consider this as a new contact person.
    • You could export all Emergency Contact data via Reporting, correct the values and do Full Purge Type import in "Import Employee Data<Emergency Contact".
      • Example
      • Before and after doing Full Purge Import,

             Or

    • Delete the existing record with Operation "DELETE" in imported file. Fill the new values in the same file. Do Incremental Import in "Import Employee Data<Emergency Contact"
      • Example
      • Before and after doing Incremental Import
  • If "name" and "relationship" fields remains the same, then after correcting value in imported file, import it by using Incremental Import in "Import Employee Data<Emergency Contact"

      • Before and After doing Incremental Import
