3352124 - Employee Data Showing the Wrong Org Unit Manager After Replicating Employees to SAP Business ByDesign

After replicating Employees to the SAP Business ByDesign, you noticed that the system is assigning the wrong Reporting Line Unit Manager to the replicated Employee. 

SAP Business ByDesign.

1. Go to the Employee Data Work Center and then Employee view.
2. Search for the affected Employee ID.
3. Click Edit.
4. Check the Manager field.

Manager assigned to the Employee is not correct.

Although you have replicated the Employee properly, the Manager is a result from the data maintained in the Org Unit. You can check the Org Unit Manager by following the steps below:

1.  Go to the Organizational Management and then click Edit Org Structures.
2. Maintain the curret date.
3. Click Find and search for the Org Unit that is the Reporting Line Unit assigned to the affected Employee.
4. Click Locate.
5. Go to the Timelines tab.
6. Check the Organizational Unit Manager data.

Note: It might not have any Manager or the validity has ended.

Please replicate the Reporting Line Unit with the right Manager via Master Data Replication work center. Once the Reporting Line Unit is replicated properly, it will be updated in the Employee Data.

Please follow the steps below to replicate the Reporting Line Unit:

1. Go to the Master Data Replication Work Center and then Reporting Line Units view.
2. Click Show All and search for the Reporting Line Unit assigned to the affected Employee.
3. Click Edit and go to the Manager tab in order to check the Manager assigned to this Reporting Line Unit.
4. Now you can Add Row and maintain a new Employee or you can trigger a New Replication Request under Reporting Line Units view.
