Symptom
In SF, Complete Payroll Tasks does not show the configured event.
For example, you configure a "No Show" event to update IT1234 when a No show event is executed. However, it appears in the Complete payroll task as a "Termination" even instead of "No show" event. The termination event may update several infotypes including IT1234.
Environment
SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll
Reproducing the Issue
- Configure the payroll data maintenance task types and country/region-specific infotypes using Payroll Unified Configuration. For example, a "No Show" task type to update IT1234 and a "Termination" task type to update IT0041 and IT1234.
- Replicate the payroll data maintenance task configuration from Employee Central to Employee Central Payroll.
- Report "No Show" of an employee in SF and replicate it to the ECP system using PTP replication.
- Go to "Complete Payroll Tasks" in SF and find this employee, it appears in the Complete payroll task as a "Termination" even instead of "No show" event.
Cause
"No Show" event is covered by "Termination" event so it's filtered when replicating the employee.
For this example, "Termination" event is also triggered during employee replication because the "No Show" event is mapped to an action which has STAT2=0 in T529A. When processing the events, "No Show" event only includes IT1234 while "Termination" event includes IT0041 and IT1234, so "No Show" event is covered by "Termination" event and "No Show" event is filtered.
Resolution
Check the infotypes to be updated by every event in Payroll Unified Configuration. If it's covered by another event and that event is also triggered for this scenario, it's correct behavior to display only one event in Complete Payroll Tasks. For this example, it's correct to display "Termination" event in Complete Payroll Tasks.
