Symptom

An API call is created to upsert information on an MDF Object, but it throws the error below:

  • No permission to insert object! with the index 0

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HXM Core

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create an API to upsert data in a MDF object
  2. Run it
  3. Data is not updated
  4. Check the logs
  5. Error message is shown

No permission to insert object! with the index 0

Cause

User who calls the API does not have Edit/Insert permission for the MDF object being updated.

Resolution

Provide the necessary MDF permission for the user calling the API.
