3353125 - SAP CPQ SSO issue

Symptom

Customers are in the process of setting up SSO with AD production, during this SSO setup they are applying "federation metadat.xml" downloaded from predefined Microsoft URL and after that they will share the details with AD team, but they are getting the error at first place.

Environment

SAP SALES CLOUD CPQ

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Setup--> Providers -> Federation Settings.
  2. Click Add New.
  3. Upload the XML Metadata file that you previously downloaded from your Identity Provider.

SAP CPQ will configure your Identity Provider configuration with the with default preselected values from the XML Metadata file. If you change these preselected values, you need to click Save.

Cause

The tenant doesn't have service provider certificates.

Resolution

Add new providers under federation settings and upload the metadata, if the certificates are not created log an incident with Development team for the creation of certificate.
