Symptom
Multi-level numbering format is not supported in Manage Offer Letter Templates.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management
Reproducing the Issue
- Copy content with multi-level numbering list format from Microsoft Word to Offer Letter Template;
For example:
1. Sample
1.1 Sample
1.1.1 Sample
1.1.2 Sample
1.1.3 Sample
2. The levels are maintained but the number format is automatically changed from multi-level numbering "1.1, 1.2..." to single-level numbering "1, 2...".
For example:
1. Sample
1. Sample
1. Sample
2. Sample
3. Sample
Cause
The HTML Ordered List element <ol> generates list items using the number format "1, 2..." when the type is number.
Resolution
This is an expected behavior as the offer letter template editor is HTML-based.
It is not supported to format numbers as "1.1, 1.2..." by using the attributes in the pure HTML Ordered List element <ol>.
The workaround to keep the multi-level numbering is to paste text without formatting OR adjust the number manually in Offer Letter template.
