3353433 - Error 'Account XXXX is used as position account XX times (e.g. in account XXXX)' in App Manage G/L Account Master Data

When changing the G/L Account Type in app Manage G/L Account Master Data, error 'Account XXXX is used as position account XX times (e.g. in account XXXX)' appears.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

1. Go to app Manage G/L Account Master Data.
2. Click on Edit.
3. Change the G/L Account Type.
4. Click on Save.
5. Error 'Account XXXX is used as position account XX times (e.g. in account XXXX)' appears.

If the field G/L Account Type is changed for an account that you have created, the change undergoes consistency checks before the change can be saved in the open business change project.

It is strongly recommended not to change the G/L account type for any accounts pre-delivered with the standard chart of accounts. The G/L account type can be changed for additional accounts that you have created on your own. 

Changes to the G/L account subtype are possible as long as no postings have been made to the account.
