Symptom

 The name of Attached files with special characters on surveys are getting modified to #.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to Surveys Work Center.
  2. Open Related Attachments Work Center View.
  3. Select attached files with special characters such as "Ã" and click on Download.
  4. See that the downloaded file has modified the character "Ã" to "#".

Cause

This is the expected behavior and it is related to the version SAP_BASIS 804 of the system.

SAP_BASIS 804 only supports characters from codepage 437 (Code page 437 - Wikipedia -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Code_page_437 ) for the filenames inside a ZIP archive and replaces all other characters with '#'.

Resolution

Change filenames that contain characters not supported by Code page 437 - Wikipedia.
