Symptom
When running R3trans -d from an ABAP application server to test connectivity to the HANA database, the command runs for an abnormally long time (60 seconds+) yet ends in a successful code 0:
R3trans -d
This is R3trans version <version number> (<SAP kernel version details>).
unicode enabled version
R3trans finished (0000).
When reviewing the trans.log written to the directory where R3trans -d was run, you see the following:
