In Maintain Bill of Material (F1813) app getting the error message "Alternative & for this BOM not valid on &" when assigning Change Number

• SAP S/4HANA Cloud
• Master Data

1. Open Maintain Bill of Material app 
2. Search for a material 
3. Open the BOM 
4. Click on Edit with change number
5. Error message appears

• There is no Explosion Mode determined in the following SPRO path:

         SPRO -> SAP Reference Image -> Production -> Basic Data -> Bill of Material -> Control Data for Bills of Material -> Determine Explosion Mode

• And the VALID_TO field in tables STKO and STPO is empty. 

• Create a new entry in the SPRO Explosion Mode and save it:

         BOM Category - BOM Explosion on HANA Validity Determination ; Explosion Mode - Enable BOM Validity Calculation 

• Run the report 'CS_BOM_VALID_TO_CALC'  to correct the VALID_TO values in STKO and STPO according to the Resolution part of the KBA 3156190 
   

If during the executing of the report the error message CS_BOM_HANA011  "Explosion mode not enabled; check Customizing" occurs,

then please follow the steps of the KBA 2516380 - Error  CS_BOM_HANA011 occurs in report CS_BOM_VALID_TO_CALC

and then run the report again.
