3354077 - System Allows To Change Planned Quantity And Input Products Logistics Areas For Released Production Order

You want to know why system is allowing to make changes to Planned Quantity and Logistics Areas for Input Products even after production orders is released.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Production Control work center.
2. Go to Production Orders view.
3. Find orders with status "In Preparation"
4. Select any production order ID and release it.
5. After releasing it, system is allowing to make changes to the Planned Quantity under general tab in production order.
6. And also to input product's logistics areas under Products tab which should not be allowed.

It is causing due to Alternatives in Bill of Operations. This is an expected system behavior.

Case 1 : Like for a product, if BoO has a alternative product then after creating and releasing production order-> quantity and Logistics Area is not editable. You can check its relevant BoO expanding the data.

Case 2: When there is no alternative in BoO for products then after creating production order -> quantity field and LOA are editable. It is because there may be a case where alternatives must be added later as per business need.

Please check alternatives in relevant Bill of Operations against respective production models for the required product.
