Symptom

  • On SAP Solution Manager system running on SAP ASE database
  • ASE errorlog reports an error sequence showing a signal 11 (SIGSEGV) at address LePtnScanOp::_LapoSetupAPScan:

    Address 0x0x000000000233a179 (LePtnScanOp::_LapoSetupAPScan(int, int, ExeCtxt&)+0x299), siginfo (code, address) = (1, 0x(nil))
    Current process (0x15f00b0) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)

    SQL causing error :  <query referencing F (fact) table>
    curcmd = 193 program = R3D0XX 00 comm rd ODBC

    with a stack trace including:

    LePtnScanOp::_LapoSetupAPScan(int, int, ExeCtxt&)
    LeAPScanOp::_LeOpOpen(ExeCtxt&)
    LeOperator::LeOpOpen(ExeCtxt&)
    LeNLJOp::_LeOpNext(ExeCtxt&)

  • Output of the report RSSYBDBVERSION shows all GREEN lights
