3354173 - Error 102 incorrect syntax when password starts with a number - SAP ASE

Attempt to create or change a password where the new password starts with a digit fails with error 102.

Example:
create login newuser with password 1abcdef
go
Msg 102, Level 15, State 181:
Server 'ASE', Line 3:
Incorrect syntax near '1'.
