3354391 - How to Create Access Restriction for a Particular Field in Sales Order

Symptom

You want to set an access restriction on a particular field in a sales order for a Business User(s).

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Sales Orders work center.
  2. Navigate to the Sales Orders View.
  3. Select Show: All Orders.
  4. Search for and open the relevant sales order.
  5. Go to the Items tab.
  6. Observe that the List Price field is visible for each line item.
  7. Attempt to restrict visibility of only the List Price field for a Business User(s).

Cause

The access restrictions cannot be set at individual field within a sales order for Business Users.

Resolution

This is the expected system behavior.
