3354689 - How To Create an Item Hierarchy for a Registered Product

You would like to understand how to create a hierarchical view of items in your registered products.

SAP Service Cloud Version 2.

In order to create a hierarchy of items for any registered product, you can follow the steps below:

1. Navigate to Registered Products work center.
2. Open any active registered product.
3. Navigate to Items Hierarchy tab.
4. Add any item on the list, as it will be used as the root item.
5. Click on the Search and Add icon in the Actions column.
6. Choose if you would like to add a Registered Product, a Functional Location or a Product.
7. Toggle the All checkbox.
8. Select the desired item on the result list and click +.
9. See the item will be added as a child of the root item.

Once you reach this step, you can follow the same procedure to add more child items to the root item or to expand the hierarchy even further by creating 2nd level child items.
