3354732 - Crystal Reports Report Application Server (RAS) not starting, stuck in Failed state

Symptom

  • CrystalReports2020ReportApplicationServer server is in Failed state.
  • CrystalReports2020ReportApplicationServer not able to start.
  • There are no .errorinfo files or RAS logs in Business objects logging directory.
  • Not able to change Crystal RAS trace level in CMC.
  • Windows Event Viewer shows the following error:

    Server Intelligence Agent: server <SIA name>.CrystalReports2020ReportApplicationServer stopped with exit code = -1,073,741,515 (0xc0000135).
     
  • Server Intelligence Agent (SIA) logs show :

    Server Intelligence Agent: server <SIA name>.CrystalReports2020ReportApplicationServer has been started.
    Server Intelligence Agent: server <SIA name>.CrystalReports2020ReportApplicationServer stopped with exit code = -1,073,741,515 (0xc0000135).
    Server Intelligence Agent: server <SIA name>.CrystalReports2020ReportApplicationServer stopped unexpectedly.
