Symptom
For some reason, a user needs to delete an employee in the system. However, the Delete Employee option does not appear under Employees > Edit Employee.
The user may indicate they used to have this functionality, but it is now gone. This change likely happened after an upgrade.
IMPORTANT: Terminations should be handled through the employee import. This should only be considered when an employee must be fully removed from the system.
Environment
SAP WorkForce Time and Attendance (9.4 and later)
Cause
In 9.4, the EMPLOYEE_EDIT system feature had some of the functionality split into the new EMPLOYEE_DELETE system feature. The new functionality was implemented upon upgrade. However, often no configuration change was made during the upgrade, and so no users have the EMPLOYEE_DELETE system feature. This was done so that some employees can have access to edit employee information without having the ability to delete employees in the system.
