3355163 - Org Units Appear Out of Order in Org Structure

You are checking the organization structure in the system, and see that some org units are not in the expected order.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Organizational Management work center.
2. Enter the Org Structures view.
3. Enter an effective date and click on Ok.

Here you can see some org units do not follow the expected order of the unit ID.

The order of org units inside an org structure depends on creation and activation, which may cause differences in order in situations where a certain org unit was modified and re-activated. Even then, it is not possible to explicitly control the order of org units in a certain org structure.

The system works as expected.

It is possible to order the org units by ID, name and Manager by clicking on the column header once the org structure is loaded.
