3355551 - sysadmin log_first_tran logs exports incomplete commands on large transactions - SRS

Symptom

  • While attempting a log first transaction in when DSI was down by using below command:
    sysadmin dump_file,'/dump1/dumpfilename'
    go
    sysadmin log_first_tran,DSNAME,DBNAME
    go
    --after transaction is logged, reset dumpfile.
    sysadmin dump_file
    go
  • The following is observed:
    • A partial transaction is logged in the dump file, and its fully recorded in rssd database.
    • The following configurations were set to max values:
      queue_dump_buffer_size|32768|32768|32768|range: 1000,32768|integer|Restart not required|
      dsi_max_text_to_log|-1|-1|-1|range: -1,2147483647|integer|Connection/route restart required|
      dsi_max_cmds_to_log|-1|-1|-1||integer|Connection/route restart required|
  • How can the full transaction be dumped to a file?
