Symptom
You have maintained an e-mail address in the format XXccbbFF@XXX.com (please notice the upper and lower case used).
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
Maintain a receiver e-mail in the format XXccbbFF@XXX.com for example:
- Go to the Receivables work center.
- Select the view Dunning.
- Search and find Dunning ID 123 (123 represents the Dunning ID).
- Select the button Preview.
- Select Send Options.
- Here we can see the e-mail address is maintained as XXccbbFF@XXX.com (please note the upper and lower case).
When the e-mail is sent the e-mail naming convention is always lower case in this example xxccbbff@xxx.com
Cause
This is expected system behaviour. SAP is following the RFC 821/822 ff were SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) - upper case lower cases are irrelevant.
Resolution
System is following the RFC 821/822 ff Standard as SAP is not planning to make any enhancements.
