Symptom

Environment

  • SAP Crystal Reports 2013

  • SAP Crystal Reports 2020 

Resolution

  • To duplicate a subreport, use the option "Save Subreport As...":
       
    1. In Crystal Reports, open the report that contains the subreport to duplicate.
        
    2. In the Design view of the report, right click on the subreport to duplicate, and select "Save Subreport As..."
        
    3. Save the subreport, as a report to your local computer. ( Example: My Subreport )
        
    4. Back to the report, under the menu "Insert", select "Subreport..."
        
    5. In "Insert Subreport", select the option "Choose an existing report"
        
    6. Then click on the button "Browse..."
       
    7. Select the subreport you saved as a subreport in previous steps, and click "Open"
       
    8. Back to "Insert Subreport" window, under the tab "Link", link the subreport to the main report if needed.
       
    9. Click "OK"
        
    10. Insert the copy of the subreport in the desired section.
