3357155 - Unable to Edit Value Help (F4) Specific fields in Business ByDesign

Symptom

The user is attempting to rearrange the column field in the Value Help, for example, in the Sales Order.

Environment

  • SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  • Go to the question mark on the upper right of ByD.
  • Go to key user settings and start adaption mode
  • Open Sales Order WorkCenter and View Sales Orders
  • Search for Sales Order XXXXX
  • Click on edit
  • Go to Items Tab
  • Search for a position with item type "Product - consignment issue"
  • In tab Serial Number use the value help
  • Try editing the table which appears.

Rearrange the column fields, save the changes, and publish. Refresh and view the Value Help again; the changes are not applied.

Resolution

The Changes made in the Value Help table (i.e., F4) will not be captured as "changes" in Adaptation Mode. It is a limitation.

Note: This is applicable for all the Value Help Table.
