3357666 - Unable to delete the attachments added to the multiattachment field 'interviewGuide' if the file name does not contain any spaces - Recruiting Management

Symptom

Recruiting users with the appropriate write permissions are unable to delete attachments added to the multiattachment field 'interviewGuide' if there are no spaces in the file name attached and the attached file name goes beyond the character limit.

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login >
  2. Navigate to a Job Requisition where you have the Job Requisition standard field ID 'interviewGuide' configured >
  3. Navigate to the Job Requisition Details page >
  4. Scroll down to the field >
  5. Add an attachment that contains no spaces and has a lengthy file name such as Interview_Guide_Document_For_Internal_And_External_Candidates.docx.
  6. Notice once you add the file the bin icon that acts as a delete button moves off screen and you cannot access it.

Cause

Our engineering team are currently looking into this topic and are investigating the issue to work towards a resolution on it.

Resolution

As a workaround please ensure you use a naming convention that contains spaces in your files so this issue does not occur.

i.e. do not name your file Interview_Guide_Document_For_Internal_And_External_Candidates.docx. Instead please name your file 'Interview Guide Document For Internal And External Candidates.docx'
