3358237 - Unable to create new promotions rule - SAP Commerce

Symptom

When creating/editing promotions in Backoffice, the following log message can be found:

Failed to create promotions rules Error: Unable to create due to java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: de.hybris.platform.ruleengineservices.enums.FixedDiscountDistributeStrategy

Errors are displayed:

  • On opening the existing promotion source rule action and conditions page
  • On closing the error popup and navigating down to the actions section, the action section is missing on the Backoffice
  • When trying to clone an existing promotion rule
  • When trying to create a new promotion rule
