Symptom

You would like to understand what are the options to activate an inactive case type.

Environment

SAP Service Cloud Version 2.

Resolution

To activate an inactive case type, you can follow the steps below:

  1. Click on the User Menu.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Navigate to All Settings.
  4. Click Case Types, under Cases.
  5. Select the inactive case type.
  6. Click on the three dots button.
  7. Click Create New Version.
  8. Make the necessary adjustments and activate the new version of the case type.

You can also use the option Copy to New Case Type.
