3358988 - Job to Position sync not triggered when changes to job info made through cross-entity rule and Centralized Services switch enabled - CS1H2023

After 1H 2023 release, Job to Position sync is not getting triggered when changes to job information are made through a cross-entity rule and Centralized Services switch is enabled.

Pre-requisite: There is a cross-entity rule that updates job information via a cross-entity rule. In the below example, we have an onSave rule on Comp Info that changes job information.

Note: The fields changed in job information must be included in the job to position sync rule.

Scenario 1: With Centralized Services enabled and a record is inserted in Comp Info

1. Insert a new record in Comp Info and make some changes that will trigger the cross-entity rule to update job information.
2. You will see a new record in Job Information.
3. You won't see a new record in Position (i.e., job to position sync does not get triggered).

Scenario 2: With Centralized Services disabled and a record is inserted in Comp Info

1. Insert a new record in Comp Info and make some changes that will trigger the cross-entity rule to update job information.
2. You will see a new record in Job Information.
3. You will see a new record in Position (i.e., job to position sync gets triggered).

Scenario 3: With Centralized Services enabled and changes are made via Take Action -> Change Job & Comp Info

1. Click Actions – Change Job and Compensation Info and choose Job Information and Compensation Information to change.
2. Make changes only to fields in Compensation Information.
3. You will see a new record in Compensation Information.
4. You will see a new record in Job Information.
5. You will see a new record in Position (i.e., job to position sync gets triggered).

It's a defect in 1H 2023 release. 

Workaround 1: Disable the switch "Enable Centralized Services to Save Changes on the Manager Self-Service UI for Change Job and Compensation Info" in Company system and Logo settings when the transaction is made via Insert A New Record.

Workaround 2: You can enable the switch "Enable Centralized Services to Save Changes on the Manager Self-Service UI for Change Job and Compensation Info" and make the transaction via Take Action > Change Job & Comp Info.

Engineering Team has confirmed that the issue will be fixed in 2H 2023. The Preview release is scheduled on 20th Oct 2023 and Production release is scheduled on 17th Nov 2023.
