3359113 - Unexpected Behavior with Local & Global Business Role Assignment

Symptom

The local role assigned users are able to view & assign global roles to the Business user.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Administrator Work center
  2. Navigate to  Business Roles View
  3. Highlight the Business Role & Edit it
  4. Under the General tab, checkmark the box Select Scope Manually
  5. In the Scope field, choose Local or Global
  6. Select Save

Cause

Business User has access to Business User view of Application and User Management work center.

Resolution

You have to remove the Application and User Management Work center access to the Business user

Steps:

  1. Go to Administrator Work center
  2. Search for the Business User & select edit
  3. Select Access Rights & Choose on Work Center and View Assignment 
  4. Uncheck the Business User from Application and User Management
  5. Save and Close
