3359466 - Cannot Import Multi-Channel Collaboration Data for Customer Using Mass Data Maintenance

Symptom

You are trying to import multi-channel Collaboration Data for Customers via Mass Data Maintenance, but system reports an error of Service Call Error.

Environment

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Mass Data Maintenance work center.
  2. Click Import Customers link.
  3. Upload the file of multi-channel Collaboration Data for Customers you want to import.
  4. Import.
  5. System reports error: "Service Call Error".

Cause

This is the standard behavior. Mass Data Maintenance does not work with Multi-Channel import of Collaboration Data for Customers or Suppliers.

Resolution

You need to use the web service.
