3359749 - Invalid login on pre-emptively authentication in SOAP UI API request

Symptom

When calling CPQ from a SOAP call the result of the request is "invalid login" error as below example:
"<doUSeeMeResult>&lt;NO>&lt;REASON>Invalid login&lt;/REASON>&lt;/NO></doUSeeMeResult>".



Environment

SAP SALES CLOUD CPQ 

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open SOAP UI or Postman;
  2. Create a request for SOAP API "DoUSeeMe";
  3. In Authorization window create a new authorization;
  4. Select Basic and hit OK;
  5. Select checkbox for "Use Global preference";
  6. Input password and Login;
  7. Run the API and Check XML response.

Cause

Authenticate preemptively is not properly enabled in SOAP UI.

Resolution

Authenticate preemptively needs to be enabled following below path:

  1. Preferences;
  2. Http Settings (first option);
  3. Authenticate Preemptively;
  4. Check the box for "Adds authentication information to outgoing request".
